My encounter with an angel

I work the night shift at the local history museum as a security guard. Making sure that nobody comes in and steals the goods, the kinda stuff you'd expect from this job. Most days, the stillness almost strangles you. It's honestly scarier than when something DOES happen, which is usually just a rodent or some dust.

Well, anyways, this day just felt OFF. I couldn't really tell what it was until almost the end of my shift, when I finally realized. I could hear sounds in both ears. Like, any sound, regardless of which ear it's going into, I could hear in my other ear. It wasn't just like the signals were being mixed up, either. Like, I could TELL that the sound was coming from one ear, but I also heard it in the other.

After my shift ended, I stood up and felt some INTENSE vertigo. I nearly passed out, but stabilized myself and sat back down in my chair. The vertigo almost immediately stopped. I tried standing up, but I had that same vertigo. It felt like some kind of invisible hand was holding me in place, almost as if crossing a certain threshold would bring me back down.

I decided to just stay until the vertigo cleared, when I saw something on one of the monitors. There was a person walking through the museum, and the weirdest thing is, they were in full color. All of the cameras we have are monochrome, and to my knowledge, they physically cannot output color. So that means one of two things were happening-- the screen was getting some kind of signal from some other system, or this being was somehow putting itself on the screen I was viewing. I was so enthralled by this that I didn't think to call the security in until after.

The being sort of. . . slow-walked across the exhibit containing some of our older artifacts. It rubbed its hand over a few of them, its handprints and footprints left visible, glowing, white marks. When it reached our section where we had a preserved human, it seemed to walk through the case and into the container. It just. . . stared for a bit, before grabbing the human and disappearing. My vertigo got a fair bit better, so I ran downstairs and looked at the exhibit. It was covered in those white marks, and the person was GONE. I called in security, but they couldn't really do anything since the crime had already occurred.

They didn't believe me about the color until I ran upstairs and showed them the recordings.

The next day, all of the tapes were gone, as well as the white markings. The security guys remembered, but our boss and the police couldn't do anything about 4 eyewitness accounts of an unbelievable event like this.

Honestly, I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to do now. I almost feel as if I shouldn't have seen this, it's giving me a bad feeling. I'll update later, if I can.
